Apprenticeship Scheme

In 2014 we launched our apprenticeship scheme.

A tailored made programme aiming to train dance practitioners.

“Being involved with such a varied degree of projects has helped me grow more in a professional light over the last 12 months as it has prepared me for life from under the Dawns i Bawb mantle and with their help they are helping me become established within my own local dance community.”
Dale Riley – former apprentice

“When I applied for the apprentice scheme with Dawns i Bawb, I wasn’t sure what to expect. All I knew was I wanted to teach for a living, and this was a great way to start. I started off very nervous, but everyone made me feel so welcome and helped me with everything I wanted.
The apprentice scheme definitly helped with my confidence, I feel like I can communicate with people and children much better, lead sessions better with more ideas, and most of all, made me realise how much i love teaching.”
Eirian Foster – former apprentice

In 2013 we initiated a new scheme aimed at young leaders.

We offer mentoring, advice and professional development to young people who are leading dance classes in their community but have not had professional training for example.

We wish to support them with their passion for dance and help them becoming professional.

We support local dance artists and organise intensive training events such as Dance & Dementia, professional workshops with international artists.
